For the animal project, here are some suggestions of websites to try:


World Book Online.  This is an online encyclopedia that we subscribe to.  See Mrs. Sheridan for the username/password if you want to work on this outside out school.

National Geographic Kids.  You can search for your animal or find it by clicking through the categories. 

Fact Monster is a great website for finding general info on just about anything.  Use the search bar up top to search for your animal.

Animals with National Geographic.  Find your animal by choose from the correct animal family.

BrainPop is one of the sources recommended in the handout, however, it doesn't have spotlights all animals.

Dog Breeds (American Kennel Association).  If you are researching a specific type of dog breed, I'd recommend starting here.
