Welcome to Princeton Intermediate School!
The Indiana DOE has finished preliminary scoring of your student’s ISTEP test and those scores are available on the Parent Portal as of June 19,2017. While accessing scores, you may also request that parts of the test be re-scored for your student if you feel that the score for a question or questions seems inaccurate or doesn't make sense to you. As the scoring for some questions is in many cases a judgement call, we suggest that parents request a re-score of any item with a score that does not make sense or does not seem to give a fair amount of credit for the answer that was given.
Letters with instructions on how to access your student's score in the Parent Portal as well as password information required to do so were sent home with your student’s report card at the end of May. If you did not receive or have misplaced this letter, you may contact PCIS at 812-386-1221. Additionally, if you would like to request that one or more of your student’s answers be re-scored but would like help with this process, PCIS staff will be available from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm this Thursday, June 22 to help.
Yearbooks still available. They are $12 each. Make checks payable to PCIS.
Report cards and other student items not picked up on the last day of school, may be picked up in the office during office hours. These items will not be mailed.
Summer office hours are May 24-June 7 8am-3pm and July 26-August 8 8am-3pm.
Welcome to Princeton Community Intermediate School home of third, fourth and fifth graders. Our community has provided us with an exceptional facility to serve our students with a dedicated staff. Our staff has spent the past two years developing and honing our curriculum to better serve each of our students needs as well as the Indiana Academic Standards. One of our many academic goals is to instill the love of reading in our students setting them on a journey as lifelong readers. Our second focus is Math competency teaching our students to think deeply about how why Math is such an integral part of our daily lives. Applying their knowledge across curriculum is key as we work to meet the rigorous Indiana Standards.
Some of our community events like our back to school picnic, bingo for books, and March Madness event make PCIS a hub for family engagement. Our school has three computer labs and these are joined with our tablet cart and Spheros to make for some technological opportunities heightening student interest and engagement. Our instructional staff, cafeteria staff, custodial staff, and administration staff are always at the ready to serve your child. We proudly serve Princeton and several of our surrounding communities including Patoka, Hazleton, Wheeling, and Mt. Olympus! If you have questions about our school, please contact us at 812-386-1221 or fax 812-386-1577.
